Cryptocurrencies

Dogecoin $0.004274 USD (32.05 percent) is one of the few coins in the green today, surging 32 percent today after being listed on the Binance. Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao claims this listing is the one “exception, as there isn’t much new tech development (I guess it was never about the tech for this one)”. However, he referenced the large community backing and Elon Musk’s positive comments about the coin.

Komodo $1.56 USD (20.64 percent) has surged today after its AtomicDEX release, described as a multicoin wallet and DEX hybrid. It is the reference implementation of Komodo’s AtomicAPI, the world’s first 3rd generation atomic swap tech. They have now opened up AtomicDEX on Android and iOS for a limited number of beta testers.

Litecoin $119.71 USD (-3.13 percent) is outpacing altcoins with coin supply halving in less than five weeks. LTC is showing 5 percent gains on a seven-day basis – surpassing BTC’s 1 percent gain on a weekly basis, despite its growing dominance over altcoins. Meanwhile, atomic swaps between Litecoin and Bitcoin are now live on Beam’s crypto wallet. The new feature allows users to swap the two coins for one another without needing an exchange.

Ripple $0.383516 USD (-3.54 percent) startup XRPL Labs Founder, Wietse Wind, says a beta version of the company’s banking app will be released this year. The app is designed to let users hold and spend euros, dollars, XRP and other currencies, without any help from a financial institution.

Stellar $0.101136 USD (-2.45 percent) has launched a beta version of its website redesign – a portal for developers and will promote education and adoption of the Stellar network.

Tezos $1.24 USD (3.79 percent) is gaining huge support from BTG Pactual, Brazil’s fifth largest bank, which plans to utilize the Tezos blockchain for STO’s in “a deal pipeline in excess of $1 billion”. BTG is teaming up with Dubai-based asset manager Dalma Capital. The deals include the ReitBZ tokenized property offering announced in February and would also cover a variety of traditional and alternative investments. ReitBZ STO, which uses an Ethereum-based token, has launched and passed its soft cap. Notably, Andre Portilho, a BTG partner claims while they “will continue to utilize the Ethereum protocol, we see Tezos as a global player with a robust blockchain for asset tokenization.”
