A man who misplaced a bag which had two cryptocurrency hardware wallets which contained a portfolio worth more than 800,000 francs ($799,350) has tripled his reward for its return on Friday, according to The Swiss Local.

It’s been one month since his stash went missing but the man said he would raise the reward offer from 40,000 francs to 135,000 francs, according to the website 20 minutes.

The Lucerne resident said that after his story went public he started getting emails from dozens wanting to claim the reward but so far no one has been able to find the missing hardware.

The 27-year-old said he was in the city of Lucerne on April 9 and removed his bag that had a Lionfood logo from a bank safe to make several transactions.

But after leaving the Lucerne train station, he stopped in at a Migros supermarket where he lost track of the bag.

He said that he was unsure if he left the bag containing the Keepkey and Ledger Nano S devices in his car or somewhere near the supermarket.

He also said that since he lost the storage devices he still can’t access ay online backups since he doesn’t have the necessary recovery codes to access the protected information.

No one except the owner would be able to provide the information to access the digital currency stashes which are PIN-protected and only allow a specific number of attempts to access the information.

Anyone with information about the missing bag is asked to email viacoin.lu@gmail.com to help solve the case.
