E-Commerce Giant JD.com Set To Launch A Blockchain Startup Accelerator In Early March

CoinDesk reported Tuesday one of China’s largest e-commerce platforms, is launching an accelerator program to foster the development of blockchain-focused startups.
In a Tuesday announcement, the report said, the accelerator program to be launched by JD.com, will start in March and has been dubbed “AI Catapult.”
The program aims to incubate young blockchain firms – helping them scale their applications through integrations with JD.com’s various businesses in China, including e-commerce and logistics, CoinDesk reported.
At least four blockchain startups, based in China, Australia, Singapore and the UK thus far, have already signed up to kick off the initiative, the report said. The firms cover a wide range of services from database to payment and identity platforms, JD reported.
