Tech entrepreneur and billionaire Elon Musk revealed just how much bitcoin he owns and it was a shockingly small amount of only 0.25 bitcoin, which is around $2,531 as of Friday afternoon, according to CNBC.

Musk tweeted out the info on Thursday that except the 0.25 bitcoin that was gifted to him by a friend years ago, he “literally” owns “zero cryptocurrency.”

The tweets came from SpaceX and Tesla’s CEO after a recent trend was being discussed about how scammers were posing as famous figures like Musk in order to dupe users and steal their cryptocurrencies.

One user tweeted at Musk to ask him why the spam was popping up, which Musk replied,” Not sure. I let @jack know, but it’s still going. I literally own zero cryptocurrency, apart from .25 BTC that a friend sent me many years ago.”

Musk tagged Twitter CEO Jack Dorsey on the issue, even though a number of scam accounts have been temporarily restricted on the social media site, new ones continue to respond to Musk’s own tweets using slightly altered names such as “Elon Mask” or “Elen Musk.”

“We’re aware of this form of manipulation and are proactively implementing a number of signals to prevent these types of accounts from engaging with others in a deceptive manner,” a Twitter spokesperson told BuzzFeed News when the publication investigated the issue earlier this month.

Last year, Musk publicly denied allegations that a former SpaceX intern was the mysterious mogul behind bitcoin, Satoshi Nakamoto.
