Bitcoin Prices Reach New All-Time High At $4,880

After only briefly topping the $4,800 mark for the first time yesterday, the bitcoin price continued to rise on Friday to achieve yet another new high just cents below $4,880, according to CoinDesk.

Opening the session at $4,764.87, bitcoin was traded greatly and saw the value rise this morning up to a record-setting $4,879.24, up around $115 for the day so far, according to CoinDesk’s Bitcoin Price Index.

At press time the price dropped only slightly to $4,876.

The market capitalization of the top cryptocurrency was now at a whopping $79.7 billion, another new high, and a market share of 45.4 percent, according to data from CoinMarketCap.

Litecoin also set a new all-time high today in the markets at a price of over $78, along with the combined market cap of all cryptocurrencies that stands at over $175 billion.
